On May 4th 2009, after 47 years of hydraulic valve and block production at Withsgt in Kongsberg, Hydranor opened a new and modern office and production building inside the new Kongsberg Industry Park at Kongsgårdmoen in Kongsberg.
The new building comprises sales, development, engineering and production of hydraulic valves and control units for the marine and offshore industry.
The building has a total area of 5,350 sq.m and has 4 modern and large Mori Seki CNC machines centers in combination with a FASTEMS flexible manufacturing system for valve block production. In addition several new modern and efficient units for surface treatment, extruding and cleaning have been installed in the factory.
A new large capacity Hydraulic Power Unit ( HPU) for 4 hydraulic test benches has also been implemented together with additional storage equipment for better and faster order handling.
Overall, the new production facility will increase production capacity and shorten lead time from order to delivery, which both are important for our many customers in Norway and abroad.
Odd Roger Bøhn has been appointed new Managing Director after Roar Kristensen who has decided to follow other opportunities outside Hydranor.
The management change is effective from March 1 2011.
Monika Haugen has started up as the new QUALITY MANAGER at Hydranor.
Hydranor releases a new modular valve unit to meet the market demands for a compact and reliable winch control unit for winches such as anchor, mooring and capstan as well as other hydraulic functions aboard small and medium size marine vessels. The product is named 10MB and further information can be viewed here.
During spring 2009 HYDRANOR will move into new facilities at Kongsgårdsmoen in Kongsberg. In addition to a new office and production bulding there will be invested in more modern and efficient production machinery.
New Electric Operated Valve from Hydranor
